GUTTER
controls the space between the columns.
WIDTH
controls the width of one
column (all columns are the same width, and
WIDTH
controls that width). Here's an

Either the well was very deep, or she fell very slowly, for she had plenty of time as

interact. They both control how horizontal space is allocated,
so changing one effects the other. The easiest thing to do is to only use one, and
GUTTER
is generally the better one to use.
GUTTER
controls the visual separation between the
columns, no matter what the user's screen size.
WIDTH
, however, will result in
different spaces between the columns on different screens.
